ACH Care Homes - Ivers House in Marnhull, Shaftesbury, Dorset

ACH is proud to announce a great addition to our existing services.

We have just acquired Ivers House in the village of Marnhull, close to Shaftesbury in North Dorset.

House Profile: Ivers House is divided into five completely separate homes consisting of a Main House and four independent chalet bungalows.

The Main House comprises of a large country house set in some four acres of ground, together with the four independent chalet bungalows on site and various out-buildings as well as a satellite unit, a short distance from the main site and is registered for three residents. The out buildings on site provide a wide range of agricultural, animal husbandry and creative activities. The main house provides single bedroom accommodation for eight Residents and has a communal lounge, activity room and dining room.

Trafalgar Bungalow has four single bedrooms with a communal lounge a large kitchen area. This Bungalow has a large activity room with multi purpose activity areas.

Kenley Bungalow provides four individual ensuite bedsits with a large communal kitchen and dining area.

Crantock Bungalow has four ensuite bedsits and is in close proximity to the main house and therefore able to access all the facilities of the site.

Tyneham Bungalow has four ensuite bedsits and as Tyneham is close to the Main House and able to share all the communal facilities.

Crantock and Tyneham are currently under construction and will be completed by summer 2010.

Ivers House is a residential care home and a training establishment for adults with learning disabilities. It is registered with the Care Quality Commission. Ivers provides a homely, caring, personal environment in which people can mature, develop confidence, learn to relate to other people in a community environment, acquire skills for life and engage in a wide range of structured activities, with its beautiful gardens and paddocks

Marnhull village has all the essential facilities, including shops, post office, pubs, doctor's surgery and pharmacy. It is within easy reach of several larger towns, such as Shaftesbury and Sherborne, offering ample opportunities for leisure, shopping, recreational and vocational activities.
