The home will offer a service to adults with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and Sensory Impairments. Ambleside Lodge is located between Horley and Redhill, Surrey on the main Brighton Road. There are public bus stops outside of the home, in which provide an easy access to regular transport to towns.
Redhill and Crawley are the nearest large towns and are only a short drive from the home and there is a mainline Railway Station situated in both of these towns. There are many amenities and facilities that can be accessed including local shops, supermarkets, leisure facilities, pubs, clubs, bowling, cinema, supported work environments and part time employment. There is access to adult education facilities such as colleges and evening classes and staff will support residents to access and attend facilities that they themselves value.
Ambleside will aim to assist the residents to develop their independence, autonomy, knowledge, confidence and daily living skills in order to enable them to live a full and independent life as possible as a full part of the local community. Ambleside will have a cohesive team of talented, well trained staff to deliver these objectives in an enjoyable, relaxed and fully effective environment.
